A north Kerry artist who is horrified by the violence in the Middle East has crafted a sculpture to honour the dozens who died in a missile strike on a primary school in Iran.

Brian Hackett (60), a metalsmith who lives in Ballylongford, created the sculpture to remember the more than 160 people – mostly children – who died when Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab was hit as the US and Israeli war on Iran commenced on February 28.
