To celebrate the exhibition, the gallery is hosting a wine tasting in collaboration with another village business, VinedMe, on Thursday, April 9.

Robert is renowned for his beach paintings, as well as interior and figurative scenes. The spring exhibition will contain views of the Solent, Venice and local North Norfolk landscapes too.

Robert has exhibited at The Medici Gallery and around the world, and is “thrilled to see so many of his works together here in Norfolk”.

Toby Barlow, of Barlow Fine Art, said: “Robert King’s work is very light and also very full of light, which lends itself beautifully to a spring exhibition.

“Being a member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists, his coastal themes tie in perfectly with our location on the Norfolk coast, with many paintings reflecting the warmer seasons, as well as their simple appeal to those with happy memories of holidays spent on the beaches of Norfolk.

“They are also technically superb works of art and we are delighted to exhibit them.”

Chrissie is a painter of still life and flowers. She works mainly in oils, with some of her art being in pastel. She takes inspiration from the great still life and flower painters of the 18th and 19th centuries, in particular Chardin and Fantin Latour, which reflects her “innate feeling for timeless arrangements of fruit, flowers, china and glass, painted with a particular quality of light”.

Toby said: “Chrissie’s work is really new, we have never shown her before. Her themes of flowers, bursting colour and energy reflect the feelings we all associate with springtime.

“Chrissie has featured at the Royal Academy Summer Show and is a past vice president of the Society of Women’s Artists, and we are thrilled to show her works here at Barlow Fine Art in Thornham.

“I am also very excited to team up with another local business, VinedMe, for a regular wine tasting in the gallery.

“We are looking forward to putting fizz and fine art together, and our wine tastings will become a regular event on the second Thursday of each month, starting at 7.30pm.”

Tickets for the wine tasting on April 9 are £25 and must be pre-booked by contacting Barlow Fine Art. The evening comprises a tasting of four wines as well as nibbles, with the opportunity to purchase bottles directly at a discounted rate.

The exhibition will be open daily from 10am to 5pm and by appointment only on Tuesdays and Sundays.
