MANITOWOC – Manitowoc Lutheran High School Fine Arts Department is hosting a Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 26. The event will take place at the Manitowoc Lutheran High School campus on Lancer Circle, according to a community announcement.
The festival will begin at noon and will feature pie, ice cream, coffee and a silent auction with a variety of baskets and packages. This year, a craft vendor fair has been added to the festival, running from noon to 4 p.m.
At 4 p.m., the Fall Concert, titled “You Ought to be In Pictures,” will showcase student performances by the choirs and bands, featuring music from Hollywood films.
Festival supports fine arts program
The festival is not only an opportunity for food, fellowship and entertainment, but also a fundraiser for the Manitowoc Lutheran High School Fine Arts Program. More than 75% of the student body participates in the program.
Proceeds from the festival and concert will help fund music, supplies, equipment and productions for music, art, drama and forensics. The funds will also help fund the cost of the biennial Fine Arts Trip.
The performing groups include the Cantate Choir (freshmen and sophomores), Concert Choir (juniors and seniors), Lancer Singers (auditioned choir), Symphonic Band and Jazz Band.
The Manitowoc Lutheran High School Fine Arts staff consists of Meredith Milbrath (Jr. Lancer Band Program, drama coordinator), James Otto (forensics coach), Charis Scharf (Cantate Choir, Symphonic Band and Jazz), Joel Ungemach (fine arts director, Concert Choir and Lancer Singers) and Carrie Ungemach (art instructor).
