KINGSPORT, Tenn. – Dozens of eager craft vendors showcased their work on Saturday in Kingsport for the city’s annual Carousel Fine Craft Show.Many different artists and craftsmen applied to be in the show, their work is judged and then this year more than 40 were chosen for the event.”There’s a big movement that is supporting people that make things with their hands,” said glassblower, Ryan Gothrup.The show included everything from pottery, to printmaking and glass-blowing. Those involved say it’s a chance to demonstrate their skills and show how good quality crafts can be made locally.”These artists depend on this income to support themselves and they’re adding beauty to the world and beauty to the home,” said organizer, Lucy Fleming.The show continues on Sunday at the Kingsport Farmers Market from noon till 5p.m.
