The fantastic Blackpool artwork taking over Bloomfield Road with help of local talent

A number of club legends have been recognised with murals around the inside of the ground – with more planned going forward.

Seasiders supporter Rob Purdon is the man behind the ongoing work after joining the club as artist in residence back in October.

“I’m over the moon to take on this role at a football club that means so much to me,” he said at the time.

“I’ve been a supporter since the age of seven. Back in 1986 I was brought here for the very first time and now I bring my own kids here who themselves are also Blackpool fans.

“I’ve worked with the Club on various projects before, such as programme covers. To see fellow supporters hold, feel and experience my work is a great feeling. I’m now looking forward to seeing what we can achieve on a larger scale throughout the stadium over the coming months.”
