Walthamstow Art Trail to return in June for 20th anniversary

The event in Walthamstow will run from June 5 to June 14, and will feature more than 200 artists.

The Walthamstow Art Trail will include exhibitions, open studios, workshops, and live events across homes, studios, public spaces, and independent venues. The event, which attracts visitors from across London, will take place in 165 venues, with attendees following a map around the area.

The trail builds on the 20-year legacy of the E17 Art Trail, which was founded by Artillery. This year, a new team of local volunteers, including art curator Margarita Makhanova, producer Katty Grassi, and marketing coordinator Alessa Grace Lewis, will take the reins.

A spokesperson for the event said: “Once again, E17 is transformed into a vibrant living gallery: an artist-led, community-powered celebration of local creative talent.

“Bringing together artists, performers, craftspeople and residents, the Trail will showcase a diverse programme of exhibitions, open studios, workshops and live events across homes, studios, public spaces and independent venues throughout Walthamstow.

“The Trail invites visitors to explore the area through the eyes of local artists, discovering both emerging and established creatives whose work reflects the diversity and creativity of Walthamstow.”

More information about the artists, specific event dates, and the official map, is available on their website: walthamstowarttrail.co.uk.

The Walthamstow Art Trail is supported by Another Kind Studio, Artillery, 40ft Brewery, Soho Theatre Walthamstow, The Stow Brothers, Walthamstow Football Club, and Wood Street Walls.
