Model painting for the glory of the Emperor

Introduction to model painting class at the library.

Verla Carter was among six students learning the very fine art of model painting at a Saturday workshop at the Grand Forks and District Public Library. The class, hosted by the library, took students through the steps of how to paint their own game piece models from the Games Workshop’s internationally-acclaimed Warhammer 40,000 tabletop games. The company produces model kits that include tiny pre-formed models and paint sets people can custom paint themselves. Despite the tiny size of the models, Carter was able to put a well-detailed coat on her Ork model. All students were allowed to take their model home.
