Today, the Orlando Museum of Art (OMA) is partnering with eSight by Gentex to host “Low Vision Day.” This event will offer free museum access and the use of wearable low-vision technology to help visitors with central vision loss experience art without limitations. The event is inspired by artist Kelly Joy Ladd, who lost part of her vision following a traumatic brain injury. In a moving full-circle moment, she now returns to OMA not as a visitor, but as one of the featured artists in this year’s Florida Prize in Contemporary Art exhibition. FOX 35’s Marley Capper talks us inside OMA to learn more.
