The Turnip Prize, a lesser-known spoof version of the Turner Prize, will be taking submissions starting from Saturday, November 1.
Participants are allowed only one entry per person due to increased skip hire charges.
The contest rules state that entries must not be on paper or cardboard, and photocopied artworks will not be accepted.
All entries should bear the participant’s name or pseudonym, a contact phone number, and a title for their work.
Entries can be posted or directly left at The New Inn, on Combe Batch in Wedmore.
The last day for entry submission is Friday, November 21, and the judging of the artworks will take place on Sunday, November 23.
The New Inn will also serve as the venue for announcing the winner on Tuesday, December 2 at 6pm, after which all entries must be removed from the premises.
The 2024 prize was won by a Wedmore resident, known as Wonga Woman, for her work entitled ‘Tax in Creases’.
